One photo, once a day
From February 2009 to September 2014, boyfromspace was the home for the photos I took each day. Every 24 hours I published a single image, aiming to post the images on the day they were taken. Hence the mad scramble at 11:55 each night. The vast majority of images were taken, processed and posted entirely from an iPhone. Over the years years I used iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s with a handful of the really early pictures taken with a Canon PowerShot A710 IS.
Why do all this?
Well, I love photography – I wish I had the chance to take more photographs but sadly the day job gets in the way. I needed a way of easily and cheaply indulging my passion for photographing stuff and at the same time allow me to improve my eye. Maintaining this site forced me to do at least one vaguely creative act each day.
The results vary wildly with some images I am proud of and others which are best forgotten about.
The detail
- Photos from iPhone 3G/iPhone 4/iPhone 4S/iPhone 5/iPhone 5s and back in the early days a Canon PowerShot A710 IS
- Most images processed using Snapseed. Processing (from the early years) used CameraBag app.
- Hosted by Dreamhost using WordPress
- Uploaded using WordPress iPhone app
- Audio recorded on iPhone 3G using the now long forgotten note2self app. Converted for the web using Audacity
